are you refering to a torque link like my srx has that keeps the motor from twisting under high velocity thus keeping the clutches aligned properly?

chris you might want to see if they can give you a length on the cable it may be shorter good luck

i think the 80 srx cable would work as that was pretty much the same setup with the buttrefly carbs and the throttle looks the same. the oil pump cable goes to the front of the left carb although it would probably work on the right that also has a hook up for it.

water pump seal replaced and the 81 is up and running again.

I tried it with the throttle w.o and closed it seems that with the adjuster turn all the way out i can pull the cable back another 1/4 to bring the cable where it belongs like the picture in the man. shows but their is no more adjust. the book says pull the cable all the way out line the end of adj....

can someone enlighten me on how this cable should be adjusted. what my manual shows for some reason wont work with my cable. by lining up the spot ferrule on the cable with the end of the barrel on the adjuster can somebody give me a measurement in between the 2 cables when u pull them apart at the ...

a good runner should get ya between 90- 100 but their are many variables a vmax will snort the loudest on the lake fully studded with a couple inches of snow and your able to get a good hookup.

i would say the mechanic who did the work and signed the work order should be responsible.the owner of the shop should buy you a new one and give you a case of oil for your pain. or

i pulled mine tonight to check out the sitiation and mine was also shot .that parts sled i bought was the best 100 bucks i spent. it has saved me a few trips to the bone yard.

i have a spec sheet that sats it is a m 16x1 tightend to 53 lbs

yeah i was trying to figure out the weight differences. because the 440 does feel a lot lighter . it has an aluminum driveshaft.the seat is smaller and lighter.i think the suspension is lighter. 1 heat exchanger. pipes aresmaller its to bad couldnt adapt a lighter aluminum muffler the stock 1 weighs...
