Re: 560cc Reed Vmax!!
Any updates Jeff? Looking at mine, Perry and I were talking, IF we could spread out the bolts a little wider, we could go to a triple ex port. Might chase that a little further over winter

Re: VooDoo Max
Wow, nice to see this site up and running again,Everytime I checked I got a "Virus Warnimg" page and couldn't get on. Heres some updates on the 83 from the last couple years, Sled had been flawless for both a few races and some trail riding for the last two years. Were lucky here to have a...

Re: Arctic cat primary on a vmax possible?
I haven't tried a Cat pri. I do have a P85 Pol on my 83. Most things simply count on geting the center to center right and the alignment. I made a shim to go over my taper, sometimes the engine and/or sec. can be moved around to get things right. The next thing to watch is if you move to a wide belt...

Re: compression test
I don't know, I've used the same one for 30 years  I have quite a few sleds, usually check them at least the ones I drive every season,. take notes. The actual number isn't important to me as long as its not dropping from where it was. On my gauge I know that a good number with cut heads is 150...

Re: Heavy pulled engine
I did when first finished my big bore, actually had to have my kid pull the rope for a while, now its IMO a little hard but not that bad after some running. I will say for whatever reason when really cold outside and it sits, both my SRV and my V Max are really hard to turn over. My Cat 6000 isn't mu...

Re: Airbox vs. No Airbox
I did mine a bit different, got rid of all the plumbing, single pump, regular 38's and no box. Was careful learning what it wanted for jets and no problems in 3 years.
Not sayin you should do it, just telling you what I did, much easier to work on now

Re: 44MM Mikuni's
Jeff, sorry, got nothing that will help, but, please give us an update on how this works out. Ben thinking of trying bigger carbs on mine, have both 40's and 44's but really have a set of 39.5 taper bores all jetted up. Someone here screams at me if I change anything LOL
