Re: now im p!&&ED
if ya cant get it out after trying to weld a nut to it(good tip,works well), youll likely have to take cylinder off engine and put it on a bridgeport, use a carbide endmill to dust the easy out and old broken bolt out of there.

Re: Set Up for Ovals
I was at the track today, its packed very tightly and hard, make sure you have super sharp 8 inch carbides minimum,and good sharp pics in the track.
Its very nice track prep! they have 107 entries as of today already.

Re: '81 SRX 440 part out
How about ALL of it as a package deal?, I know the skidframe will be the hardest thing to ship,but they can go ups no problem in cardboard wrap. rest would likely be a few boxs. Give me a idea shipped to brookfield, ohio 44403.

WTB- decent vmax540, 84 or 85 model
looking to add a sled to my stable, looking for a halfway decent 1984-85 vmax 540, can either be running or not as long as its somewhat complete and not junk. I dont want to purchase a restored one but will obviously pay more the nicer it is. I am located in N.E. Ohio. thanx

heres a pic of 440 pipes and a pic of 540 pipes I found here on this site, you can easily see how much longer and much larger center/ belly is on the 540 pipes. longer pipe is lower rpm, shorter pipe is higher rpm. The volume of the 2 pipes is quite differnt as well for the 440-540cc differance. htt...

yes,those are 100% 81 srx440 pipes you have on your sled,they run at 9000rpm and your vmax runs at 8200rpm,this is also likely why you dont have any bottomend power. the srx pipe is not a low end pipe like the 540 pipe is, its also much shorter to run a higher rpm,so its definitely making your engin...
