i don,t think i used the yamaha belt. hard to remember i think i ran a dayco. i always set everything right to the manual. never had a belt issue. mine was a good one. jeff loves it and has restored it. 3:16 (yammie tony)

ken my 1981 srx not the one you have but the one mark sold to jeff ran 101.3 on stalker radar in 1000 f.t. on rock glare ice. hooker track, machined helix, and 110 cam-2 , also it was -2 outside. that was in early ninties. AND YES, TACH WAS ON 9250 ALL THE WAY. 3:16 (yammie tony)

ken a lighter driver will make ya faster, but will also change your peak rpm, sled will sense lite driver. you will go faster. those tachs were off, but running that farr should be close. so you want to drop bottom gear to achieve more speed, thats more like it. 3:16 (yammie tony)

i been telling slow pro for year this sled has to run at 9250. not 8850 or 9550. thats why you have not hit your target speed yet. and why would you want to gear down to yet achieve more speed ? yikes. 3:16 (yammie tony)

this sled is flooded. use those fuel shut-offs like its part of your on and off switch. these sleds will flood easy and won,t start if case is flooded. 3:16 (yammie tony)

right, mine had third wire and i was told when i bought it here it was off a 84 vmax. i had the 83 throttle but my knob was broke. i should still have it. two wire is 83. 3:16 (yamme tony)

when i got my 83, my throttle stop button was broke. thumb lever was way smaller. i have yours on mine now exactly the same. work great. i believe mine is a tors throttle like yours.there was no tors in 83. 3:16 (yammie tony)
