Re: How to identify what year stator/flywheel help needed
Check the ohm reading with the RED & Red-White wires if it is a 84-86 it will have 10 ohm's if it is a 87 up it will have 50 ohms. Hope this helps you out..

Re: 81 SRX and 540 waterpump shaft ?
Mark if you have an 84 then I would use it , it is a far better pump then the 83 and prier. Just replace the bearing and seals and you should be good to go. All you have to do is take the remaining bolts out of the pump where it bolts to the outer stator housing to spit the cases. The shaft can be t...

Re: 85' Vmax Pump Drive Gear O-Ring Specs??
Yamaha Part # is 93211-44445-00 I have reused them as long as they are in good condition you should be OK. If you can find the right diameter seal in a roll you could always fit it in the groove with the ends at the top and put a drop of silicone on the ends. It is always best to find the original o...

Re: anyone know much about "Quik Shift" clutch??????

If I remember correctly I think they may have made two of them one for lower HP engines and one for Higher HP...

Re: Hood Crack Repair Help needed
Donnie you cover the 1/2" gap with mat & resin with the 2" piece inside & out so they can stick to each other, then when they dry you put the 4" piece over the 2" piece and you have a encapsulated joint, you can even go with a 6" piece if need be and it isn't to thick.

Re: Hood Crack Repair Help needed
Donnie what I have done is grind it back about 3" on each side of the crack on the inside and also on the outside, at the same time opening up the crack to about a 1/2" wide. When that is done I use about 2" of fiberglass mat and resin after that dries I do the same on the inside, the...
