I took the 540 out on Jan 7 for it's first real run. We were about 7000 ft and 1 hr out of Calgary (which doesn't have a flake of snow on the ground). Well, here it is. The first test laps of my newly aquired VMAX. This is the first sled that I ever owned. It's amazing what happens when you replace the right part. After replacing the stator it fired up on the third pull. A little bit of time setting up the carbs, and everything seems to be working fine. I haven't had it out on the snow yet, but I'm looking forward to it sometime next week. Thanks to C...

I think I may have found the problem. After removing the flywheel, the stator plate came out in four pieces. Looks like some of the pick-ups contacted the magnets. I'll have to check them and see if they are still usable. Funny that all the resistance tests came out fine.

I'm having some trouble getting my VMAX to cooperate. Maybe it likes being in a warm shop? Here's a list of things I've done and what the sled is doing. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.
