If you are running the stock 1983 oil pump and premixing the fuel to 40:1 your total mix has to be like 20:1 or less. Way to much oil for me.

So,is there any advantage to updating from a 1983 to a 1984 or newer housing? Looks like the seals for the update or later years are also discontinued.

This is whats left after 90mph crank failure. Not good when you dump the exhaust and get piston pieces. Just over 7000 miles on the clock.
