Hey guys Sorry it took me so long , i still havent got the time to take a look at the needle , , , But i know i put 2 new needles in the v max in the summer the dumbie befor me bent one and i put 2 new ones in , I orderd them from a yamaha dealership and jus asked for stock needles for a V max 540 ....

Hey i think its a stock 102 , it doesnt say any thing on the clutch but it used a Yamaha puller , same as for a ET / EX

Hey , I did cheak the center distance last week , it was like 12inch and 1/8 i corected it and still didnt make much of differnce the off set is right too. Im going to try to tighten the 2ndary clutch tonight and see how it goes. Ive worked on many Sleds over the last 7 years so im getting better at...

Hmm i think its defenetly clutching i put my spare belt on that was a little worn and it had much more throttle responce , the 2ndary seems REALY soft , should i try . . . that could cause my bog i think you can adjust the spring on it tho right ?

Hey tyler sorry for the slow reply ive been busy , But its ingauging at 4500 after it bogs for a second it has TONS of power to spare

We had about 3 ft here in ontario , then this week warm and rain , so were down to about 6 inches and NICE TRI Z ive searched for one for a wile , , , found a few 250r's but i want a yammy im still on the search

I did the porting as listed in the arcticals , I will run good but i cant get past 5000 rpm if the needle is in the middle grove , put it to the top grove i can get over 5000 rpm , and it flys after it gets over 5000 rpm , But it will bog till there it has 130 piolets i belive

Im running 300s right now and it has a bog at low end , , ,the slid needle is at the top grove , what should i try 270s and move the needle to the middle clip ? Does it matter i have hex mains in it now will it hurt if i put rounds in it ?

Located in eganville ontario , serial number 000 102 on chassie , numbers not matching on motor

1991 v max 540 for trade , pretty good shape , brand new track , got it running great , updated porting specs , trade for SRX 440 76-80 or something interesting or $ 1700
