Studding for trail

I would like to put 96 studs in the track of my 85 vmax. Any recomendations on how to protect the heat exchanger? Or do I not need to worry about it due to the location? Thanks in advance.

Ok now I am getting confused because I have a generic comet puller that I use on my 102s and it won't thread into the 108. I guess I am just going to have to take my clutch pn to the dealer and let them figure out what puller I need. Thanks.

Hey guys. I dug up a clutch puller for an SRV that threaded in and felt like it bottomed out like it was supposed to. Should I hit it with the impact and get this clutch off or will I hurt the end of the crank with this particular puller. Thanks

Stator ????

Hey guys. I just got a box of parts. Well more like a small inventory of yamaha parts. Anyway there is a stator from an SRV 540 in the mix. Will that work in my vmax? I have not compared plugs or anything yet I had just enough time to look at what I got and put it away. Thanks. I really hope this sl...

Just an update on this. I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel and got the bolts out. Seat is off. Now I need to replace the metal on the front part of the seat. The wood in the middle and the bolts at the back. Good thing the seat cover is in good shape.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. Looks like this tank is going in the truck. I wish they would have just notched out that support member so I could pull the motor and not worry about the clutch. Oh well.

THIS V MAX WILL LIVE AGAIN...eventually!!!

Here is what I can tell you. I know its a 108 on an 85 vmax and my 102c puller won't thread into it. . I need to remove it to pull the engine and then its getting replaced with a 102c. I am going to order a puller and don't want to order the wrong one. Thanks guys.

Thats what I thought about the clutch. I read all the other posts on the clutching situation and when I checked mine sure enough there is the tell tale burn mark on it. So would I be better off reworking the sled so the 108 works better or get the SRX clutch and put on. OR I heard a rumor the P-85 p...
