Re: 84 Vmax won't start

Sounds like it is running rich on one or more cylinders. Check that all 4 floats float at the same height. These are famous for getting fuel logged. Check to see that the fuel pump diaphragms are not cracked and letting fuel run into the case.

Charles: Thank you for the offer. I haven't decided if I can weld the old muffler or cut up and reweld the Vmax ones to fit. I have been out of work, so I cannot have it done outside. I am going to try some welding this weekend. When I decide which way I am going to go, I will let you know. I also h...

I put them on every TSS sled I have had. They do not make the front stiffer over bumps as the skis are moving together and the bar is not stopped from rotating by the chassis. The bar moves as the skis move. It will make a big difference in cornering. It reduces body roll and helps keep the sled fla...

Has anyone tried just filling the clutch with grease or oil and then turning in a bolt with threads matching the internal on the clutch? I have a 80 SRX with a yamacomet and the dealer stripped the outer threads trying to get it off. I was going to try the grease method. I also have read about filli...

anyone have exhaust connectors laying around?

I am helping a buddy repair a 1972 Sno-Jet SST 440 fan with bogies. The stock exhaust is rusty dust. I thought of cutting and rewelding some Vmax pipes I have to match the expansion chambers used on the mod machine shown (NOT the one we are working on) or the Yamaha SS433. Anyone have a set of the c...

testing temp gauge

Remove the sensor from the hose fitting, and warm it with a heat gun or pass the flame of a lighter under it. If the needle moves, it is working. You can also put it into boiling water at 212.

The Weare Winter Wanderers are having this event.
There will also be a radar run.
To run in the vintage class you must have leaf springs, but we can run in the stock class against the 600's.
