That is correct. Read it and if it makes sense, then you have been around engines for awhile. If it dont make sense, then you should stick to 5hp briggs. Rock it

The SRV only had around 60hp to meet racing limitations at that time. The vmax had 85hp if i remember correctly.

The bottom end is being rebuilt at the moment. Needed all new bearings so should have it back in the case in a week or so. I am getting excited for it to run. Getting a 3 cylinder Polaris ignition set up to run this bad boy.

I have a new project that i am going to work on over the summer. It is an 81 srx 440 bottom end (8m6) with Vmax 8u9 cylinders. the cylinders have "MK 3" stamped just under the 8u9 casting on the cylinders. I have never seen this stamping before so i am questioning if any of you faithful vm...

Have you put the sled on a stand to see if you can get the noise to happen that way? Might be easier to locate the noise if you can identify where it is coming from. Could be a bad belt, could be a torn track, could be a loose drive chain or loose track. Could be a whole lot of things. If you could ...

I have seen primers go bad on Doo's that allowed the fuel to flow thru the plunger while running. I would say to disconnect the plunger and see if that fixes your issue. When your sled is idling and at low rpm that is when there is the greatest amount of vacuum in front of the carb slide.

No offense, but i know the 93sx can be had for equal or less money. In the same condition too. Not too much demand for the 87 exciter.
